Nutritionist Juhi Kapoor in her recent Instagram posts talks about superfoods that can help alleviate symptoms of micronutrient deficiencies and chronic or persistent health problems.

1. Soaked almonds for PCOS, acne relief

Eating soaked almonds can help with PCOS, acne relief and glowing skin, says Kapoor. Soak 5 to 7 almonds overnight, peel them in the morning and eat them daily.

2. Soaked raisins and saffron for menstrual problems

6-8 soaked raisins and 2 saffron can be soaked overnight for menstrual cramps and irregular periods. It can be eaten the next morning.

3. Soaked black raisins for hair loss

For hair loss and immune related problems, soak black raisins overnight and eat them the next morning.

4. Soaked walnuts for memory and concentration

Two walnuts can be soaked overnight and eaten in the morning to increase brain power, memory and concentration. It is great for children to improve their academic performance.

5. Soaked peanuts for women and children’s health

For better hair, muscle health and good skin, soak 2 spoons of groundnut and eat it in the morning. It is especially good for youth and women.

6. Soaked figs for constipation

Two soaked figs can do wonders for your gut health. Kapoor says it can relieve constipation, especially in pregnant women and senior citizens.

– Release the water in the morning.

Use walnuts/figs directly.

– Green mung beans can be left to sprout (covered with sieve or cloth) for 6-8 hours. Steam and eat with salad.
