Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed on Sunday the death of one of its top commanders, Abbas Nilforoushan, in recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s capital Beirut.
In a statement carried by its official Sepah News newsletter, the IRGC said Nilforoushan, who served as a “military adviser in Lebanon, was martyred in terrorist attacks” on Friday in Dahiyeh, a southern suburb of Beirut, during which Hezbollah’s top leader, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, was also killed.

The IRGC strongly condemned Israel’s “crimes” in Lebanon, expressing its condolences over Nilforushan’s death.
