BJP Leaders Protest in Nirmal, Seek Clarification and Apology from CM Revanth Reddy
Nirmal: BJP leaders staged a protest on Wednesday at the RDO office in the district headquarters, expressing objection to certain remarks attributed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The leaders alleged that the comments were disrespectful toward Hindu beliefs and demanded that the Chief Minister issue a public apology.
During the demonstration, protesters symbolically attempted to burn an effigy. In the process, a brief disturbance occurred when footwear worn by ASP Upender Reddy and a few staff members caught fire while they were trying to prevent the effigy-burning. Officials quickly moved to safety, and the situation was brought under control without major injury.

After the protest, BJP leaders addressed the gathering, reiterating their demand for a public clarification and apology from the Chief Minister. They stated that the remarks in question had caused distress among members of the community.
The event concluded peacefully under police supervision.
