NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced an extension of the last date for admission to it Open distance learning (ODL) and online programs for Session in July 2024. Eligible applicants now have until October 31, 2024 to submit their applications.
This extension comes as a relief to many prospective students who were unable to complete their applications by the original deadline. IGNOU’s decision to extend the admission period is probably due to the growing popularity of distance learning programs and the growing demand for flexible and affordable education.
How to Apply Online for IGNOU
To apply online for the IGNOU programs, visit the official website of IGNOU. Create an account and complete the online application form. Upload the required documents including your educational qualification, identity proof and photograph. Pay the application fee online. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Save your application number for future reference.

Important Note: The extension applies to all programs offered in ODL/online mode for the July 2024 session, except semester-based and certificate programs.
IGNOU has also extended the deadline for submission of exam forms without late fees from 16 October 2024 to 20 October 2024.
