Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made a comment about sex offender film producer Harvey Weinstein on The Dan Bongino Show. He said he was amazed that Harvey Weinstein was getting his due because Democrats usually defend their own. Calling Weinstein the “king of the woke,” Trump said it was interesting that he had been hit so hard.
“Democrats don’t have to be honest, they really don’t have to be honest, because they will never be charged with anything. That’s interesting,” Trump said. “I was so amazed that Harvey Weinstein got hit, he was hit as hard as you can get. Because he was kind of the king of the wake, right? Still, he got hit, and I thought maybe he wouldn’t get hit as hard.
“But boy — you don’t know him well, I don’t know him well, but I watched that and it was amazing. So when they get hit, they get hit. But that’s the only one I can think of, they usually protect everyone,” he continued. “What Adams did I think is very suspicious.”
Complaints against Harvey Weinstein launched the Me Too movement in 2017, and in 2020 the movie mogul was found guilty of rape, but the conviction was overturned in 2014.
Donald Trump previously said he never liked Weinstein as he worked against Trump’s candidacy in 2016. “So I’ve never been a fan of Harvey Weinstein, as you know. In fact, he said he’s going to work hard to beat me in the election,” By the way, Trump said, “How did that work out? He was a guy I didn’t like, I never know much about the case, you know, between the trip and the presence in meetings almost every hour of the day, every minute of the day, I didn’t really get to see too much of it.”
After his Dan Bongino comment, Democrats said that Donald Trump was actually complaining that Weistein had been punished, but Trump was criticizing Democrats and vigilantes.
This isn’t the first time Trump has used the term “Schlonged” in this way. In 2015, he used it in reference to Hillary Clinton losing her 2008 primary, among other past instances.
