Israeli media reported that a senior government official said Iran was involved in the drone explosion near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence on Saturday.
Israel’s claims came hours after a drone fired from Lebanon exploded near Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea, south of Haifa, on Saturday.
Netanyahu and his wife were not present during the attack, which comes two days after Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.
Earlier in the day, two other drones were shot down by air defenses, setting off sirens in the Tel Aviv area. However, the third struck a building in Caesarea, causing a loud explosion.
