Mark Robinson: Donald Trump under fire for avoiding question about Republican black Nazi Mark Robinson | World News – Times of India

As the US presidential election approaches, both former presidents Donald Trump and vice president Kamala Harris have stepped up their campaigns in battleground states.
Trump made three campaign stops North Carolina on Monday, but a question from a reporter about his support for North Carolina a republican candidate for governor Mark Robinson caused a new controversy.
As Trump wrapped up a press conference, a reporter asked, “Do you still support Mark Robinson, who calls himself “Nazi‘ and called for ‘bringing back’ slavery?” Trump replied: “I’m not familiar with the race. I haven’t seen it,” deflecting the question.

That response quickly sparked a backlash on social media, with users on X (formerly Twitter) accusing Trump of hypocrisy and inconsistency. Critics pointed out that back in March, Trump praised Robinson, calling him “Martin Luther King on steroids” and telling Robinson he was “better than Martin Luther King.” Many users questioned how Trump could now claim to be unaware of Robinson’s campaign and controversies.
One X user wrote: “Mark Robinson thrown under the bus just like Elon Musk will be thrown under the bus when Trump loses the election.”

While another claimed Trump was out of touch, “Imagine campaigning at 3 events in North Carolina today and saying you’re not familiar with the governor’s race,” — Mark Robinson is currently the state’s lieutenant governor and is the Republican candidate for North Carolina gubernatorial race.

One user joked, saying: “White and black Nazis are no longer BFFs. SORRY!” while another tweeted “Alzheimer’s disease,” confirming Harris’ position on Trump’s health campaign.

The Republican candidate for governor of North Carolina has faced intense backlash after a CNN KFile investigation uncovered inflammatory comments he made between 2008 and 2012 on the pornographic website Naked Africa under the username “minisoldr.” The posts included offensive remarks about race, gender and abortion. Robinson denied making the comments, dismissing the revelations as “tabloid trash” and claiming they did not reflect his character or beliefs.
