PM in Malaysia LIVE: India’s message on terrorism is evident; no double requirements, no compromise, says Modi

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday (February 8, 2026) described his assembly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “very important, very strategic and important” to advancing bilateral ties.

In his remarks, the Malaysian Prime Minister stated, “We contemplate this assembly and these exchanges very important, very strategic and important to advance and improve relations between India and Malaysia.”

He famous, “We had long-standing relations since 1957. However now we have elevated it to a complete strategic partnership in 2024,” pointing to “the deep historic ties, sturdy people-to-people linkages, and ever-expanding financial cooperation.”

Outlining future collaboration, the Malaysian PM stated, “We’ll proceed to deepen collaboration in all fields- commerce and funding, semiconductor, digital economic system, commerce in native foreign money, connectivity, vitality, agriculture, meals, safety, defence, schooling, healthcare, tourism, tradition and people-to-people.”
