New Delhi, Feb 24: Northern Railway has introduced extension of the Vande Bharat Specific service to offer direct connectivity between Srinagar and Jammu from March 1, 2026.
As per an official communication issued by Northern Railway, as per information company Kashmir Information Nook (KNC), SVDK-SINA-SVDK Vande Bharat Specific will probably be prolonged as much as Jammu Tawi with impact from March 1.
The service, which was earlier working between Srinagar and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, will now run instantly between Srinagar and Jammu.
Railway authorities have additionally revised the composition of the practice, rising the coach energy from the present 8-coach Vande Bharat rake to a 20-coach rake in view of anticipated passenger demand.
The extension is geared toward enhancing rail connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir and offering improved journey expertise to passengers commuting between the Valley and the Jammu area.
