The All Nagaland School College students’ Union (ANCSU) has expressed concern and opposition to the directive issued by the Ministry of Dwelling Affairs relating to the necessary recitation of Vande Mataram in instructional establishments throughout the state of Nagaland.
In a press assertion, the ANCSU reminded the State Authorities that Nagaland is house to various communities with distinct cultural, historic and spiritual identities. “Making its recitation obligatory in faculties and academic establishment undermines the Article 371(A), the precept of conscience, democratic values, conventional practices and respect for range which might be enshrined within the Structure of India,” the Union asserted.

Expressing the idea that instructional establishment ought to stay areas for studying, mutual respect, and inclusivity, the Union considered that such insurance policies or directives that fail to have in mind the distinctive socio-cultural context of Nagaland might inadvertently disturb the concord that has been rigorously nurtured in tutorial establishments.
