On Monday, some unknown people hacked the Twitter account. Andhra PradeshDirector General of Police and posted an obscene picture on the platform. Clips of the hacked account were being shared on social media platforms. The technical wing of the police removed the photo and restored the account.

According to reports, the cyber crime department of the police has registered a case and started investigating the matter. A top official told news agency IANS that the account was created in 2019 and was not functioning since 2020.

“The account was hacked and the likes of obscene images and videos of them were being circulated deliberately. A case has been registered against the hackers with the cybercrime police, and necessary action should be taken.” Gay,” the top official told the news agency.

The matter came to light after posts containing clips of the hacked account started circulating on social media platforms. Currently, the account has been restored with few posts and no profile picture.
