Myth 1. Shilajit should be consumed in its raw form as purification reduces its medicinal efficacy.
There is a misconception that shilajit should be consumed in its raw, unprocessed form. It is wrong to believe that Shilajit will lose its nutritional value when it is cleaned or purified. In fact, shilajit should not be consumed in its unpurified and unprocessed form as it can be highly toxic. Shilajit is a rock exudation and a natural component found within rocks and contains heavy metals like lead, cadmium, arsenic, etc. and many other physical and chemical impurities. These things make it necessary to purify it through Ayurvedic methods of Shodhana which will remove all the toxins and make it safe to use. However, consumption of raw/unprocessed/unrefined Shilajit can be very dangerous, it should be laboratory tested before use and certified safe and pure by established institutions to use it.
Myth 2. Shilajit should not be consumed on a regular basis.
It is very important to debunk this myth as it is perfectly fine to use Shilajit regularly. Shilajit is a popular supplement that many people take in small amounts every day to boost energy and gain other health benefits. However, it is always advisable to consult a qualified medical professional before using it regularly.
Myth 3. Shilajit is an alternative to Viagra.
Going against the myth, Shilajit is not a substitute for Viagra! Shilajit has the power to increase testosterone levels, which can then improve libido but you can’t expect it to work like Viagra. It cannot in any way replace Viagra. Viagra is used only after being prescribed by doctors and can have serious side effects. Shilajit, on the other hand, is completely natural and has numerous benefits for the body. Apart from serving the purpose of promoting sex, Shilajit promotes tissue regeneration and enhances cognitive function. You can benefit from having glowing and healthy skin. Your fertility will increase and you will develop a healthy heart if you use Shilajit regularly.
Myth 4. Shilajit should not be used in summer.
Shilajit can be consumed in summer with lots of water to neutralize its hot power. Additionally, you should consider your body type, digestive system, metabolic rate and lifestyle before using it in summer. It is recommended that people with digestive disorders should reduce their diet during summer. To increase energy levels in the body by creating a warming effect in winter, it is recommended to mix pure Shilajit with milk, lukewarm water or other warm drinks to improve energy levels in the body. The effect should be provided. Don’t forget, before using Shilajit it is recommended to take the prescribed dosage from a medical professional.
