The nationwide strike drew a blended response in Goa, with banking operations affected whereas important companies remained undisrupted.
Nationalised banks and places of work of many insurance coverage firms remained shut within the coastal state.
All India Commerce Union Congress Secretary Suhas Naik instructed PTI that industrial models throughout varied locations in Goa had been partially affected.
“Labour unions shut down the work in several industrial estates as a mark of solidarity to the strike name,” he stated.
Mr. Naik stated there was no influence on important companies. “The general public transport system labored with none downside,” he stated.
In the meantime, members of labour unions held a protest march within the capital metropolis of Panaji. It began close to the Kadamba Bus Stand and went as much as Azad Maidan within the metropolis. — PTI
