NEW DELHI: Indian fast bowling Mohammed Shami shared a hopeful update on her road to recovery, posting photos on social media with an uplifting message.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Shami wrote: “Big or small, every challenge is just another step forward when you love what you do,” along with photos of him lifting weights at the gym, showing his dedication to recovery.

India selectors announce 15-man squad for New Zealand Test series, pace-leading jasprit boomra was appointed vice-captain.
However, Shami’s omission is believed to be part of a longer recovery plan as Shami has not played since the World Cup final loss to Australia last November.
He underwent surgery following an injury in the tournament and is eyeing a long-awaited return Australia series later this year.
In his absence, the pace attack will be led by Bumrah, supported by Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep.
The three Tests will be held in Bengaluru (October 16-20), Pune (October 24-28) and Mumbai (November 1-5).
The selectors have also included young talents like Mayank Yadav and Prasid Krishna in reserves to provide additional pacing options.
India is currently on top World Test Championship (WTC) in the rankings and will aim to consolidate their first place. The New Zealand series is a crucial warm-up for India as they prepare for a challenging five-Test tour against Australia.
With India looking to reach their third consecutive WTC final, every series looks vital – as does Shami’s eventual return to full fitness.
