of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Chief of Staff Sue Gray resigned just over three months after Labor won a general election, amid rumors of infighting in Mr Starmer’s team.
“It has become clear to me in recent weeks that the intense commentary around my position risks becoming a distraction from the government’s vital work for change,” Ms Gray said in a statement.
Ms Gray will take up a new post as Mr Starmer’s envoy for the regions and nations, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Ms Gray will be replaced by Morgan McSweeney, who was previously a senior adviser to the Prime Minister, the announcement said.
