Complete these tasks on Dhanteras; never face financial shortfall – Times of India

Dhanteras is celebrated on the third day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Kartik. This year, Dhanteras falls on October 29. In Hinduism, Dhanteras has significance because Lord Dhanvantari appeared with Amrit Kalash during the churning of the ocean. For advancement in life, buying vehicles, gold, silver or copper utensils is considered auspicious. Also, bringing home coriander, brooms and salt promotes good luck.
According to famous astrologer Parduman Suri, do not keep any room in the house dark on Dhanteras. Keep the rooms clean, organized and well lit just like Diwali. This ensures no financial difficulties in life. Worship Kubera, Dhanvantari and Yamaraj on this day. Full lighting in the rooms and outside the house is considered auspicious.
Time for Dhanteras Puja
– Dhanteras starts on October 29 at 10:31 AM and ends on October 30 at 1:15 PM. Dhanteras or Dhantrayodashi falls on October 29.
– Perform Lakshmi Puja during Pradosh Kaal, which starts after sunset, from 6:31 PM to 8:12 PM.

– Do not lend money to anyone on Dhanteras.
– Avoid buying glassware.
– Refrain from buying sharp or pointed objects such as knives, scissors or needles.
– Do not buy oil or ghee.
– Avoid artificial jewelry or plastic items.
