Dark mode for updated Photos app: Apple rolls out these iCloud changes for users – News18

Last update:

iCloud users will see some big changes to the app and web interface

iCloud users can start seeing these changes over the next few weeks, which will take effect on both the mobile and web versions.

Apple has introduced new updates to its iCloud platform, which allows users of iPhones, iPads, Macs and other Apple devices to access apps and settings through any web browser. As highlighted in Apple’s blog post, the new update includes dark mode support and options to customize the home page with different color themes. It also brings improvements to the design and functionality of apps like calendars, photos, and notes.

New dark mode

Previously, the iCloud website was only available in light mode. However, users now have an option to change the website theme to dark mode. Along with this, users can now have the option to customize their home page by choosing different color options. This option is available at the bottom of the home page.

App design and features

In addition to the theme, the update further improved the design and layout of some apps, including Calendar, which now supports the Arabic or Hijri calendar, making it more useful for people using this system. In addition, iCloud Drive now includes a new “shared view” tab that makes it easier for users to find files saved on their iPhones.

Not only these, Apple’s Photos app has also received an upgrade that allows users to quickly switch between months and years in their photo library by clicking the calendar button. This means users won’t have to scroll down through all the photos in their gallery. Just click on the icon and select a date and month.

In addition, users can edit the date, time and location of images in the information panel, and photos on the site can now be displayed in albums, providing more sorting options.

Apart from these, the Notes app has also been updated by the tech giant, allowing users to put important notes at the top of their quick access lists. These notes can be pinned directly from the home page and users can be managed with a simple right-click or Control-click on a Mac. The Reminders app update, on the other hand, allows users to create new lists and effectively manage recurring reminders.
