An Air India Categorical flight sure for Delhi made an emergency touchdown in Lucknow final night after a midair smoke alarm.

The Airbus 320 was working flight IX1523 from Bagdogra and had 142 passengers and 6 crew members on board. The plane crew detected the smoke alert and diverted to Lucknow, officers stated.

The airline stated the plane landed safely.

“Prioritising security, the crew working one in all our flights to Delhi elected to divert to Lucknow and carried out precedence touchdown following a smoke alert. The plane landed safely,” an Air India Categorical spokesperson stated.
