A 22-year-old lady from Delhi alleged {that a} taxi driver tried to sexually assault her late on Thursday night time on her approach to Nainital, police mentioned, including that she escaped his clutches and hid a complete night time in a forested space to evade him.

Police have registered a case towards the unidentified driver and are looking out for him. Cops mentioned the lady, a Delhi resident, had employed a taxi from Haldwani to Nainital round midnight. She was travelling alone, they mentioned.
Station home officer of the Tallital police station, Manoj Nayal, mentioned the lady alleged that the motive force was inebriated. “The lady alleged that the motive force, who seemed to be drunk, began molesting her and tried to sexually assault her. When she resisted, the motive force allegedly assaulted her,” Nayal mentioned.
