Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 6: In a progressive step in the direction of selling studying tradition and enhancing entry to information sources, the Directorate of Schooling inaugurated a Cellular Library Service at North Bay below the Deputy Schooling Workplace, Wimberlygunj. The initiative goals to inculcate studying habits amongst college students, vacationers, and most people visiting the island.
The Cellular Library Service was formally inaugurated right this moment by the chief visitor, Smti Archana Singh, Deputy Director of Schooling (Planning) & Nodal Officer, State Library, within the presence of officers from the Directorate of Schooling, Dr. Manoharan, Deputy Schooling Officer, Wimberlygunj, Smti Maryam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Member, Bambooflat, and Smti Rasheeda, Pradhan, GP Hopetown. The inaugural programme witnessed energetic participation from schooling division officers and members of the general public.
Addressing the gathering, the chief visitor highlighted that the Cellular Library Service is a novel initiative designed to take books past standard library areas and make them accessible at vacationer locations and in distant areas.
With the target of strengthening library providers throughout the islands and attracting each vacationers and native residents in the direction of studying, the Directorate of Schooling has proposed the introduction of two further Cellular Libraries at Swaraj Dweep, and Automotive Nicobar.
