EaseMyTrip resumes Maldives bookings as bilateral ties improve between governments and with President Muizzu scheduled to visit India next week

EaseMyTrip resumed bookings for Maldives on 04 Oct 2024 after being suspended since January this year due to India-Maldives diplomatic row, Moneycontrol reported.

EaseMyTrip was the first major tour operator to exclude the Maldives from its portal, barring users from selecting any packages.

The online travel aggregator said the move comes after careful consideration, looking at the already improved bilateral ties between the two governments and also after a constructive discussion with the Maldives Ministry of Tourism, according to the report.
