Minutes after NCP leader Baba Siddique was gunned down in Mumbai’s Bandra East on Saturday night, News18 obtained the first image of the three individuals who allegedly opened fire on him.
Siddique, 66, a former Congressman and Maharashtra minister, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but was declared brought dead. He joined the Ajit Pawar-led NCP earlier this year in February.
Mumbai police have arrested two of the three suspects who are currently being questioned. One suspect is from Uttar Pradesh and the other is from Haryana. The third suspect is still at large and efforts are underway to apprehend him. The investigation has been transferred to the “Criminal” sector.
Images of Siddique’s car have also emerged showing bullet marks. Siddique was reportedly in his car when the three opened fire on him, resulting in his death.

The incident took place outside his son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office near Colgate Ground in Nirmal Nagar. Zeeshan is an MLA from Bandra East and belongs to the Congress party.
Meanwhile, the police have formed five teams to investigate the case. Mumbai Police sources said they will also probe Boschnoy corner as part of the probe. A 9.9mm handgun was used in the shooting, suggesting a contract killing.
