The nominations for the 2023 BAFTA Film Awards were announced on Thursday. Only one Indian film made it to Best Documentary with Shonk Sen’s All That Breathes. SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which though made it to the long list of not the best English-language film, did not make the final shortlist. The BAFTAs are scheduled for February 19. Actors Hayley Atwell and Tohaib Jamoh announced the list of nominations for all categories on Thursday. BAFTA will be hosted by Richard E. Grant and Alison Hammond. All That Breathes is set against the social unrest caused by Delhi’s poor air quality, and is based on the story of two brothers, Nadeem Shahzad and Mohammad Saud, who set out to protect black kites.
The German-language World War I drama All Quiet on the Western Front topped the nominations with 14, while Martin McDonagh’s tragic comedy The Banshees of Unsherin and director duo Daniel Cowan and Daniel Schnert’s Everything Everywhere. All followed with 10 once. Nomination of each
