SS Rajamouli’s pre-independence epic made history at the 95th Academy Awards. The Telugu blockbuster managed a nomination in the Best Song category. The nominees were announced Tuesday by Alison Williams and Riz Ahmed from Beverly Hills, California.
All That Breathes also won Best Documentary.
Earlier, RRR won the Best Song Award for its track Naatu Naatu and the Best Foreign Language Film Award at the 28th edition of the Critics’ Choice Awards. Earlier, RRR made India proud globally as it won the Golden Globe for Best Original Score Naatu Naatu.

RRR, a pre-independence fictional story, follows two real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s – Alvari Sitaram Raju (Ram Charan) and Kumaram Bheem (Jr NTR). Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn also played special roles in this film. At the Golden Globes, RRR was also nominated in the ‘Best Picture-Non-English’ category but lost to the Argentine historical drama Argentina, 1985.
All That Breathes previously won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, a film gala that promotes independent cinema and filmmakers, and the Golden Eye for Best Documentary at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Received the award.
