Nirmal: A lady Sarpanch died by suicide following household disputes at Masaipet village in Kaddampeddur mandal on Friday.
Kaddampeddur SI Sai Kiran stated that Durgam Laharika (31), spouse of Rajesh ended her life by consuming pesticide following a tiff along with her husband. Variations cropped up between the couple for a very long time. Elders of the 2 households tried to resolve the problems, however the couple continued to combat repeatedly. The precise motive for her drastic step is but to be ascertained.
Hailing from Narsapur village, Laharika was married to Rajesh 14 years in the past. The couple has a son and daughter. Laxmi, mom of Laharika lodged a grievance with the police. A case of abetment to suicide was registered towards Rajesh. Investigations are underway.
