Israeli forces have reportedly besieged the Kamal Adwan hospital in Gaza, detaining hundreds of staff patients and displaced people while attacking suspected extremist sites. Palestinian officials say dozens of civilians, including children, have been killed in Israeli strikes. The IDF cited “intelligence” about terrorist activities in the area and said it had previously facilitated the evacuation of patients and staff from the hospital, maintaining emergency systems throughout. Meanwhile, the WHO has expressed deep concern over the loss of communication with hospital staff amid intensifying strikes. In Khan Younis, Gaza’s civil defense agency said airstrikes and drone attacks killed dozens of civilians, including children, with bodies seen lying at Nasser Hospital. UN High Commissioner Volker Turk condemned the escalation, describing it as one of Gaza’s “darkest moments” and warning of potential atrocity crimes due to continued bombardment and mass displacement. During the violence, two Israelis were killed by Hezbollah rocket fire in Majd al-Krum, prompting Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir to vow to continue strikes against Hezbollah.
