India scored a sensational victory over Bangladesh in the second Test of the series at Green Park, Kanpur on Tuesday, October 1. Rohit Sharma and his men pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the result looking highly unlikely after Days 2 and 3 were washed out due to rain.

however India were determined to force a result with the points from the World Test Championship (WTC) decider.. Consequently, when play resumed on Day 4 after the previous two days of no action, there was a sense of urgency among the players to get things done in the limited time they had available.

What followed next was sheer carnage from both the Indian bowlers and batsmen as Bangladesh were left befuddled by the all-out attacking approach of the world’s greatest Test team at home.

7.36 was the run rate recorded by India in two innings, the highest in Test history.
