Former US President Barack Obama recently expressed his support for the Democratic Party’s vice presidential and presidential candidate for the 2024 election. Kamala Harris59, in a video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). The 56-second clip shows Obama in conversation with actress and activist Eva Longoria, where he praises Harris for “fighting on behalf of the people.”
“@KamalaHarris has spent her life fighting for people who need a voice and a chance – and she will continue to fight for you. I am proud to vote for such a man and such a president we need,” Obama wrote alongside X’s video.
According to local media, Obama recorded more than 20 videos in support of the Harris-Waltz campaign last Wednesday alone, with additional ads being prepared for Democratic Senate candidates.
In the video, Obama also contrasted Harris with another unnamed person he criticized as self-centered, citing late-night tweets and long, angry speeches.
“You have, on the one hand, someone who really only cares about himself, tweeting and ranting at 2 in the morning,” Obama noted in the video.
On the other hand, Obama highlighted Harris’ humble beginnings and strong determination, stressing that she will focus on protecting the American people as president.
Earlier, Obama, along with his wife Michelle, expressed their continued support for Kamala Harris. stating that she would make a fantastic President of the United States.
In addition, Obama rallies for Harris in Pennsylvaniacritical condition on the battlefield. At a rally there, he specifically appealed to black voters, urging them to support Harris.
Recent studies point to this Harris is less popular among black votersa group in which Donald Trump currently holds a leading role.
The video in support of Obama is part of a broader push for what’s to come presidential election on November 5, 2024.
