Native practice service prolonged from Banihal to Katra from Feb 11

Banihal, Feb 09: In a serious aid to commuters, vacationers and pilgrims, the Railway authorities have introduced the extension of the native practice service upto Katra with impact from Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The practice will function with one reserved coach.

As per the schedule issued by the Jammu Railway Division, the practice will depart Banihal at 10:10 am and attain Katra at 1:00 pm. On the return journey, it can depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station at 1.45 pm for Banihal to Budgam.

The practice will halt in any respect intermediate stations between Banihal and Katra, together with Khari, Sumber, Sangaldan, Sawalkote,Duga , Bakal, Kori, Reasi, and Katra Railway Station.

The extension of the service is anticipated to considerably profit day by day commuters, college students, staff, vacationers and pilgrims visiting the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, moreover enhancing rail connectivity between the 2 divisions Jammu and Kashmir.
