ADILABAD: The state authorities is planning to begin paddy procurement within the first week of April, with 349 procurement centres made operational in Nirmal district. Officers have set a goal of procuring 1.83 lakh metric tonnes of paddy throughout the rabi season. The advertising and marketing division has fastened a goal of 1.42 lakh metric tonnes of coarse selection (Doddu rakam) and 41,480 metric tonnes of advantageous high quality rice.
