Pink Bull boss Laurent Mekies has revealed that the group’s first F1 energy unit has been named after the late founding father of the group, Dietrich Mateschitz.
Mateschitz, who died in October 2022, purchased the Jaguar group in 2004 and re-branded it as Pink Bull, with the group successful six drivers’ and 4 constructors’ crowns in his lifetime, with the Austrian passing away the day earlier than the group clinched the 2022 title in the USA.
