PM Modi interacts with US Secretary of State Blinken in Laos

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, October 11, 2024, spoke briefly with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in Vientiane in the Lao capital.

Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day visit to Laos. During the visit, he attended the 21st ASEAN-India Summit and the 19th East Asia Summit.

Mr Modi met Mr Blinken on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit.

On Thursday, Mr. Modi held a “very productive” meeting with his newly appointed Japanese counterpart, Shigeru Ishiba, during which they discussed ways to improve cooperation in various areas, including infrastructure, connectivity and defense.

He also met his New Zealand counterpart Christopher Luxon on the sidelines of the ASEAN-India Summit in Vientiane.
