On a day when the households of Central Armed Police Power (CAPF) personnel protested at Raj Ghat in opposition to the passage of CAPF (Basic Administration) Invoice, 2026, by Parliament on April 2, the President gave her assent to the Invoice. Subsequently the CAPF, Basic Administration Act, 2026 was notified within the Gazette of India.
Retired CAPF personnel and their households had deliberate the protest on April 9, on the event of Valour Day of the Central Reserve Police Power (CRPF), noticed to honour the bravery of CRPF personnel through the 1965 Battle of Rann of Kutch.
