Scottish DJ and producer Jackmaster has died aged 38 after suffering a head injury, his family have announced.
The musician, whose real name is Jack Revill, died in Ibiza on Saturday morning after complications from the accidental injury, according to a statement posted on his Instagram page.
“It is with deep sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of Jack Revill, known to many as Jackmaster,” his family said, adding that they were “absolutely devastated.”
“While deeply touched by the outpouring of support from friends, colleagues and fans, the family kindly asks for privacy as they deal with the overwhelming grief of this devastating loss,” they said.
The Glasgow-born DJ, who co-founded the Numbers record label, recently released the single Nitro featuring Kid Enigma.
He told music magazine Electronic Groove: “It was about feeling excited and inspired at the club.
“Unfortunately, those moments are rare now. I think blame the phones and people not dancing.
“I’m so thankful for my fans, but I got into music because I love to dance. It’s a lost art form right now, I think.”

British electronic duo Disclosure were among those to pay tribute, writing on Instagram: “Can’t believe it. A broken heart. Thank you for all the amazing memories and inspiration, Jack. It’s just awful, awful, awful.’
Another UK dance and electronic duo, CamelPhat, wrote: “I can’t believe what I’m reading… in an industry full of egos, you were one of the nicest guys we’ve ever met on the road. Our thoughts are with my family and friends.
Revill’s family credited the DJ with “discovering countless innovative artists,” adding in a statement: “His talent for mixing genres and delivering electrifying DJ sets and productions has earned him the respect and admiration of peers and fans worldwide.”
