“In favour of the federal government and to oppose Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand, I’ve resigned,” he stated speaking to India TV.

Kumar submitted a two-page resignation addressed to the Governor. In his resignation letter, he clearly said that he’s taking this step in assist of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
