To be eligible for this visa, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an Indian citizen between the ages of 18 and 30 years.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification (equivalent to Levels 6, 7 or 8 of the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework).
  • Have a minimum of £2,530 in savings to support yourself during your stay in the UK.
  • Have no children under the age of 18 living with them or financially dependent on them.

Once selected, successful candidates can apply online, pay the visa fee and provide their biometrics. The UK government usually makes a decision on a visa application within three weeks of receiving all the necessary documents.
What are the benefits of Indian visa for young professionals?
The India Visa for Young Professionals offers considerable flexibility. While in the UK, visa holders can:

  • Work in most fields, including as self-employed (as long as they meet certain conditions regarding premises and employees).
  • Study, although some courses may require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate.

Are there any restrictions?
