New father-in-law, actor Sunil Shetty took to social media and wrote a warm note for daughter Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul who tied the knot on Monday. Calling them both his children, Sunil posted a picture of their wedding. His appointment comes a day after a private ceremony at his farmhouse in Khandala. “A reason to hold a hand and believe because sometimes the right place is a person and the ingredients are love and trust…Congratulations and God bless my children,” Sunil wrote in the post. He also tagged the newlyweds.
Soon after Sunil’s post went live, Athiya Shetty Reached into the comment section and replied with a heart emoji, “Love you”. Afterwards, several celebrities left congratulatory comments for the Shetty family.
Former co-star Shilpa Shetty responded to Sunil’s post, “Congratulations to you and Munna. Wishing Athiya and Rahul happiness always” “Wishing the beautiful couple all the happiness in the world,” added former actor Sameera Reddy. At the wedding, Athiya stunned in a hand-embroidered pastel pink blouse and lehenga from designer Anamika Khanna’s off-the-shelf. She paired it with heavy polki jewellery. On the other hand, Rahul Karim appeared in a sherwani.
Meanwhile, Athiya and Rahul are going to take a break before hosting their grand reception, which is likely to take place in Mumbai. Sunil told the paparazzi that the Indian Premier League will be held after 2023.
