World NewsIndia NewsTo present charge sheet against central government: Jairam Ramesh of Congress

Congress Member of Parliament and General Secretary Jairam Ramesh during a media address on the occasion of Bharat Jodo Yatra (BJY) in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (R). Criticized SS).

“The BJP and the RSS have ruined the country,” Ramesh said, adding that the Congress will meet with the people during the party’s two-month-long ‘Haath Se Haath Jodo’ campaign from January 26 to March 26. Will compete.”

He also said that during the door-to-door campaign, the charge sheet against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government will be delivered at every doorstep in 1 million polling booths across the country.

Ramesh said, “During the campaign, Congress workers will visit every house in 1 million polling booths in 6 lakh villages and 2.5 lakh gram panchayats and write a ‘charge sheet’ against the failure of the Modi government, written by Rahul Gandhi. Will also include the said letter. Will be distributed among them.”

Ramesh added, “Bharat Jodu Yatra is not tied to elections and is an ideological fight against growing economic disparity, social polarization and the political dictatorship of BJP and RSS and attack on constitutional institutions.”

About the journey, he said that the yatra will end in Srinagar on January 30 where Gandhi will hoist the tricolor at the party office at Lal Chowk.

Responding to a question on the abrogation of Article 370 and restoration of statehood in the region, Ramesh said, “We believe that the process of passing the bill on August 5, 2019 was not democratic and the BJP passed it with an overwhelming majority. “The bill was passed without discussion and proper analysis. Jammu and Kashmir was a full state which was made a UT. We want democracy to be restored in Jammu and Kashmir and the region to be given full state status.”

When asked about the BJP’s allegations that India is part of the Judo Yatra Gapkar alliance that encouraged separatism, Ramesh said that they (the BJP) should do some introspection. “It was the BJP that formed a coalition government with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

The Congress aims to hand over nearly 2.5 lakh gram panchayats, six lakh villages and over one million polling stations to the letter.
