In a major development, Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat has accused Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharma of sexual harassment. India’s top wrestlers, including Bajrang Punia, Sangeeta Phogat, Sonam Malik, Anshu Malik, protested against the way the federation was functioning at Jantar Mantar.

Vinesh Phogat was quoted as saying “Women wrestlers have been sexually harassed in national camps by coaches and WFI president Brijbhushan Sharan Sharma.” Indian Express.

Earlier in the day, Vinesh had criticized the federation in a tweet, claiming that despite all efforts, wrestlers were not getting support.

Tomar said, “Don’t know what it is all about, however, we got to know from the letter written to the WFI president that some wrestlers are sitting on protest. I have come to ask them about their problem.” The year.
