What Trudeau told PM Modi when he asked for action against Khalistani

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he had a conversation with Prime Minister Modi on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi, where he told him about the alleged involvement of Indian officials in the killing of Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Najjar in Canada. “I sat down with him and shared that we know they’re involved,” Trudeau said.

“In his usual response, he said that we have people who are openly against the Indian government living in Canada and whom he would like to see arrested,” he said.

Trudeau claims he explained Canada’s commitment to free speech to Prime Minister Modi during their conversation. “I tried to explain freedom of speech,” he noted, adding that while criticism is protected, Canada remains vigilant against terrorism or incitement to hatred. “We’ve taken action in the past and we’re ready to take action now,” Trudeau said.
