⭐ Noam Chomsky Was in ‘Regular Contact’ With Epstein Even After Conviction, Emails Reveal
Emails Reveal Noam Chomsky Maintained Regular Contact With Jeffrey Epstein Even After His Conviction. Recently released congressional documents show that Noam Chomsky maintained a far deeper relationship with Jeffrey Epstein than the public previously knew. According to newly disclosed emails reported by The Guardian, the famed linguist and political commentator described his interactions with Epstein—who had already been convicted of soliciting a minor—as a “most valuable experience.”
📧 Emails Show Ongoing Communication After Epstein’s Conviction
The emails, obtained in mid-November by Republican members of the US House Oversight Committee, reveal Chomsky and Epstein exchanged messages about:
- Personal interests, including music
- Possible travel plans
- Intellectual discussions on global topics
One of the most striking documents is a letter of support attributed to Chomsky, addressed “to whom it may concern.” While undated, it includes his title as a “University of Arizona laureate professor,” a position he assumed in 2017, according to WBUR.
In the letter, Chomsky wrote:
“We have been in regular contact… with many long and often in-depth discussions… It has been a most valuable experience for me.”
It is unclear whether the letter was ever sent or intended for public use.
💸 Chomsky Received Funds Connected to Epstein
Chomsky acknowledged receiving roughly $270,000 from an account associated with Epstein. The funds, he explained, were related to the distribution of shared assets from his first marriage.
He emphasized that no money came directly from Epstein himself.
🌍 Discussions on Politics, Diplomacy, and Global Figures
The letter and accompanying emails describe Epstein as someone with:
- High-level connections
- Access to influential diplomats and world leaders
- Knowledge of global financial systems
One example cited is a discussion on the Oslo Accords, where Epstein called a Norwegian diplomat involved in the negotiations during his conversation with Chomsky.
Epstein also arranged for Chomsky to meet former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, whom Chomsky had studied and written about extensively.
🎷 Epstein’s Connection to Chomsky’s Personal Life
The correspondence also notes interactions with Chomsky’s second wife, Valeria Wasserman Chomsky, who reportedly asked Epstein for help with introducing Chomsky to jazz music—an effort she joked had “limited success.”
In a separate email from 2017, Valeria apologized to Epstein for missing his birthday, writing:
“Hope you had a good celebration! Noam and I hope to see you again soon and have a toast for your birthday.”
🏠 Offers of Accommodation from Epstein
A 2015 message shows Epstein offering Chomsky access to his residences in New York and New Mexico, indicating the relationship extended beyond academic discussions.
⚕️ Chomsky’s Current Condition
Chomsky, now 96, has not made any public comments about the emails. He has largely remained out of the public eye since suffering a stroke in 2024 and recovering in Brazil.
