But one of the biggest challenges they face is getting the visas they need, whether it’s a student visa for academic pursuits or a work permit to start their professional journey. The India Visa for Young Professionals, launched by the UK government, offers a valuable route for Indian students to move to the UK. This offers a great chance for young professionals as well. What is India Visa for Young Professionals?

The India Young Professional Visa enables Indian nationals aged 18 to 30 to live and work in the UK for up to two years. Therefore, students and young professionals of this age can explore this visa as an option to move to the UK to live and work for two years, provided they meet the necessary eligibility criteria. Those who wish to continue with this visa must participate in the India Young Professionals Program vote to have a chance to apply.

What is the India Young Professionals Program Bulletin?

Voting is the visa application process. To participate in the vote, applicants must provide their name, date of birth, passport information, scanned photo or passport photo, along with their phone number and email address. According to the guidelines outlined on the official UK government website, successful entries will be selected at random and applicants will receive the results by email within two weeks of voting closing.

There are no costs associated with introducing the newsletter; however, applicants must ensure that they meet the financial and educational criteria for the visa. They must also pay the visa application fee of 32,573.58 rupees (£298).

India Young Professionals Program Visa: Selection Process

Candidates selected in the ballot will receive an invitation to apply for a visa. They will have 90 days from the date of the email to complete their online application, pay the visa application fee, which includes an immigration health surcharge, and submit their biometrics.

India Young Professionals Visa: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian citizens or nationals between the ages of 18 and 30 years.

Individuals must be 18 years of age at the time they intend to travel to the UK.

Applicants must hold a qualification at Bachelor’s level or above (equivalent to Levels 6, 7 or 8 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework).

Applicants must have savings of R276,547.47 (£2,530) to support themselves while in the UK.

Individuals must not have children under the age of 18 living with them or for whom they are financially responsible.

Once selected, successful applicants can submit their application online, pay the visa fee and provide their biometric information. The UK government will usually make a decision on a visa application within three weeks of receiving all the necessary documents.

Visa Fee Structure for Young Professional Scheme in India

Applicants will have to pay an application fee of 32,573.58 rupees (£298), along with an additional health fee of 1,69,644.93 rupees (£1,552). They must also prove personal savings of 27,6547.47 rupees (£2,530) to meet the visa requirements. Once selected for a visa, applicants are permitted to reside and work in the UK for a maximum of 24 months. Throughout this time, applicants can enter the UK at any time as long as their visa remains valid and are free to leave and return during their stay.

India Young Professional Scheme Visa

Pros:

Applicants approved for a visa can use it for study (note that an Academic Technology Approval Scheme certificate may be required for certain courses) and for employment purposes.

They are also allowed to be self-employed and set up a business, provided their premises are rented, their equipment does not exceed a value of ₹5,46,536.50 (£5,000) and they do not employ staff.

Cons:

Applicants are not allowed to extend their stay.

They cannot apply for most public benefits (public funds).

They cannot include family members in their application.

They cannot work as a professional athlete, for example as a coach.
