In response to a letter despatched by Iranian leaders to the Worldwide Maritime Organisation (IMO), “non-hostile vessels” could be allowed to go by way of the Strait of Hormuz.
“Because the coastal State bordering the Strait, the Islamic Republic of Iran, in full conformity with established rules and guidelines of worldwide regulation, has restricted the passage of vessels belonging to or related to the aggressors and people taking part of their acts of aggression,” it added.
